About the app
CtrlTV connects to a smart TV over Wi-Fi and gives full control from the phone: power, volume, channels and navigation, with no extra hardware and no pairing dance.
A built-in keyboard makes typing passwords and searches fast, and touchpad or keypad control modes cover both browsing and precise input. Auto-reconnect, a sleep timer and quick app launches round it out.
What I did
- My own app: concept, design, development and App Store release.
- Local network discovery and protocol handling for four TV vendors.
- Touchpad and keypad control modes with a built-in keyboard.
